An older samurai walks away down a street at night under a crescent moon. Furoshiki bundle on his shoulder. Waraji on his feet. A dragonfly beside him — visible only because he is moving at the right pace for it. On the path behind him, a phone lies face down. The screen shows a GPS map pointing a straight, clear route. He has no use for it.
Every other piece in this collection shows the figure engaged with modern absurdity — untangling it, repairing it, raking it, contemplating it. This one has set it down and walked away. The phone is not broken. The route is perfectly good. He simply does not need it anymore.
The seal reads 信歩無礙. Walking without obstruction. The way is not found. It appears as he walks.
